Nitrox is considered to be anything with a higher percentage of Oxygen above what air normally has(21%). In recreational diving you will find two main blends, EAN32 and EAN36. The numbers represent the percentage of Oxygen. The concept behind Nitrox is the less nitrogen you inhale, the less you will have to off gas when ascending from depth. To dive Nitrox you must be certified. Just like normal SCUBA, there are rules you will need to learn to ensure that you are safe and sound while looking for Nemo.
