What is Nihongo Art?
Nihongo Art is a unique way to express inventive ideas about Japanese words (kanji and hiragana) through illustrations. The 2005 Nihongo Art Contest deadline, open to Japanese-language students in Ontario, is June 30, 2006. For more information about the Nihongo Art Contest, visit http://www.nihongoart.org. Last year Ontario Japanese-language students submitted 135 drawings by the June 30, 2005 deadline. The work has been on display on rotation in The Japan Foundation, Toronto library since November 2005. Nihongo Art is a unique way to express inventive ideas about Kanji (Chinese Characters) and Hiragana words through illustrations. All students can participate in this creative and fun project.
