Formed in 1973, NFL Charities is a non-profit organization that enables the NFL to contribute collectively on behalf of its 32 member clubs to charitable causes on a national level. This foundation, which has approved more than $120 million in grants to more than 600 different organiztions, supports sports-related medical research, youth health programs and the charitable work of its teams and current and retired NFL players.
