What is new media prose literature?
For Sartre, prose writers forget about words. Words are just tools that point to real things the writer wants to talk about. Sartre believes in the power of words. Think of all the things you’ve learned about science, or how cars work, or gravity. Now. Do you remember the words that taught you those ideas? No. The things the words taught are real. The words pointed to real things and moved them into your head and then left again. Writing isn’t about words, its about things they point to, real things. Fiction points to human behaviour.
