Network Rail is heavily involved with the scheme design, approvals and timetabling works. In addition, London Midland and Chilton Railways are involved in the development of the station. London Midland has agreed to provide an enhanced 2 train per hour service to Birmingham with a semi fast train. Discussions are currently in place to agree management arrangements for the station upon scheme opening.
