What is Net Billing and how does this help Santee Cooper generate electricity?
A. Net Billing is a newly launched program where Santee Cooper purchases surplus electricity residential customers generate from the use of solar panels (or other home-based renewable energy sources) on their homes. This electricity is then supplied to the “grid” that services all customers across the state, offsetting our need to generate that amount of electricity ourselves.
