What is Negative Punishment?
Negative Punishment is a type of conditioning/training where something is taken from a subject (dog/human etc.) after a behavior is displayed, thus decreasing the frequency in which the particular behavior is displayed. Negative Punishment lies in one of the quadrants of Operant Conditioning. Examples of Negative Punishment: Anything that the dog likes (petting, toys, treats, etc) that is withheld or taken away from a dog after he does something the guardian does not like. Dog Language: If I do things that my guardian does not like I lose access to the things that I like. I wont be doing that again.
