What is Needed to Telecommute?
Many people wonder whether they will need any special equipment in order to telecommute. The answer to this really depends upon the type of job that you will be performing while telecommuting. In most cases, you will usually need a computer and a high speed Internet connection, at a minimum. You may also need a telephone with long distance and a fax machine as well as a printer and copy machine. Depending on the job that you will be performing and the employer that you will be working for, you may be responsible for purchasing this equipment on your own or the employer may be willing to assist with the cost of some of the equipment, particularly if you have already worked for them for awhile and they will be able to greatly benefit from your telecommuting.
