You may renew your vehicle’s’ Georgia license plate (tag) registration on-line(Coming soon to Barrow County), in participating counties, by-mail or in-person at the Tax Commissioner’s office in the county in Georgia where you reside. Click here for more information about where to register/renew your vehicle’s registration. Commercial vehicles registered in this state under the International Registration Plan (IRP) are registered with this Department’s IRP Unit of the Motor Vehicle Division. IRP license tags are not issued or renewed at the county tax commissioners’ offices in this state. Contact this Department’s IRP Unit of the Motor Vehicle Division for information regarding the registration and renewal of your commercial vehicles under IRP. Contact this Department’s Special Tags Unit of the Motor Vehicle Division regarding Dealer, Distributor, Manufacturer and/or Transporter license plates.
