What is needed to obtain a Locational Clearance?
To obtain a Locational Clearance an applicant must submit a map, plan or plat showing the location and extent of proposed land disturbing activities, such as building sites, wells, drainfields and paved areas, and their relation to known Karst/Sensitive Environmental Features. This map will be reviewed by County staff to ensure setbacks from the Karst/Sensitive Environmental Features are observed. For individual residential projects Locational Clearance maps are available through the Office of Mapping and Geographic Information. For any structure or land disturbance of greater than 720 square feet, the Locational Clearance can be considered in conjunction with an application for a grading permit.
