What is needed in the letter of intent?
The information the letter of intent contains allows NCI staff to make advance planning for the review. The letter of intent should include a descriptive title of the proposed research; the name, address, and telephone number of the principal investigator; names of the key personnel participating in the proposed research; name(s) of the participating institution(s); titles of the individual research projects and cores; and their specific aims. Please note that a letter of intent is not required, is not binding, and does not enter into the review of a subsequent application.
