What is Naxos Music Library?
Naxos Music Library is a streaming media product that is licensed (purchased) by Rod Library for use by UNI students, faculty, and staff. All of the compact discs in the Naxos catalog, including classical, jazz, and world music, are available for streaming. When, where, and who can use it? Our current licensing agreement with Naxos allows up to 15 users (UNI students, faculty, and staff) to be logged-in to the service at any one time. You can access Naxos on a 24 hour per day, 7 day per week basis from any computer anywhere in the world that has an internet connection, a soundcard, and speakers or headphones. How do I get to the website? There are two ways to access the Naxos Music Library website. You can go to the Rod Library Homepage at: http://www.library.uni.edu/ and then click on the heading Books and Other Materials (UNISTAR). Use the dropdown menu labeled Library Catalog Search and click on Title. Then in the search box, type in the phrase Naxos Music Library and hit the search
Naxos Music Library is the most comprehensive collection of classical music available online offering over 500,000 tracks of Classical music, Jazz, World, Folk and Chinese music**. It includes the complete BIS, Chandos, Hänssler, Hungaroton, Marco Polo, Naxos, Ondine and selected titles of other leading independent labels, with over 1,000 albums added monthly.
