What is nature of the Refugee problem now in Israel?
Answer In over two weeks of War, more than 3200 rockets and missiles have been fired by Hizballah from the South of Lebanon, at Northern Israel. These have hit numerous Israeli towns and cities, including Naharia, Accre, Haifa, Carmiel, Sefat, Kireat Shemonah, Tiberius, Afula, Rosh Pina… The total population living within the current Hizballah rocket range is over 1 million Israelis. Families living under the rocket fire have told us their choices: Option 1: Risk death or injury in their homes Option 2: Sitting out the War in communal bomb shelters which are frightening, cramped and inappropriate for more than a few hours. Option 3: Leaving their homes and seeking refuge in the Middle & South of Israel. Reportedly, over 300,000 Israelis from the North have chosen to leave their homes.
