What is my understanding of the nature of Reiki energy?
The word Reiki is a Japanese kanji for universal life-force energy. For me, this means that I am acting as a channel for the loving energy of Pure Divine Being or God. It flows into me, as I get myself out of the way, fills me up and is then drawn by the client into their body. As much as is needed is drawn by them. The Reiki energy itself is intelligent, going to where it is needed the most. I get as much out of each session as the client because, until I am full of Reiki energy, it will not be drawn out. I am never depleted of my own energy and thus always feel great after giving a Reiki session. Reiki is simple and produces measurable results. It is power, light and love. Reiki transcends the man-made divisions of religion, economics, location, gender, and race. Can I trace my lineage back to Mikao Usui? Yes. What is our lineage and what does that mean?
