What is my role as the assigned Pharmacy?

0

The assigned pharmacy is a key player in managing the client’s prescriptions. You will be able to alert the client’s PCP, narcotic prescriber or PRC staff of misuse or potential problems with the client’s prescriptions. Since pharmaceuticals are a Medicaid-covered service, please do not accept cash from clients except for drugs not covered by Health and Recovery Services Administration per WAC 388-502-0160. A major focus of the PRC Program is education. Educating the client on appropriate use of prescriptions, drug interactions, importance of maintaining one PCP and pharmacy to manage and monitor one’s care are key elements in helping the client appropriately utilize services.
