What is my responsibility with regard to sales taxes on merchandise I sell?
It is the consultant’s responsibility to calculate and collect the proper sales tax on each order. Consultants should check with a local tax authority or accountant for advice on the applicable tax rates (for in-state, in-county sales as well as out of state – out of county sales), and on which items are taxable.
