What is Museum Quality framing/why might museum quality framing be important?
Framing a print is often done in haste. The “sticker shock” of framing might be a bit mis-understood due to the nature of materials used. When we say that we frame with museum quality materials, that means that we use “archival” materials starting with acid and lignin free mat boards, we “float” the print, no tapes or adhesives touch any part of the print, and we always use70% UV protectant acrylic- instead of float glass. Upgrades to 100% UV can be made.
