What is multiple intelligences?
The theory of multiple intelligences was introduced by Dr. Howard Gardner almost 30 years ago now (1983). He challenged the use of I.Q. testing citing that it was too limiting as he believed humans have eight different intelligences. These include: Linguistic intelligence (those who have a knack for words), Logical-mathematical (those good with numbers and reasoning), Spatial intelligence (pictures), Bodily-kinesthetic (body smarts), Musical intelligence, Interpersonal (people interacting), Intrapersonal (self smart) and Naturalist intelligence (nature smart).
