With the Nokia 8910I, in addition to the content type familiar from SMS, text, MMS messages can contain still images or Nokia ringing tones. A multimedia message is a multimedia presentation created by using e.g. predefined templates. Alternatively, readymade content can be obtained from a third-party content provider. The message is delivered using WAP push to the recipient’s phone and the recipient is notified only after the whole message has been received. An MMS message is a multimedia presentation in a single entity; it is not a text file with attachments. Message delivery is using WAP transport and any bearer capable of WAP can be used.
