MSDS stands for Material Safety Data Sheet. Now required by law to comply with OSHA’s Hazard Communications Standard which became effective March 1, 1989, it contains technical data on a product and instructions for handling under extreme conditions. Due to the recent legislation that affects Hazard Communication almost everyone will ask for a MSDS and be required to keep a copy on file.
