What is Movement animation?
The answer is in the question. When drawing action moments to your creation, it is quite normal nowadays to add sweeps/lines beside the item being depicted on the page/canvas area, to indicate movement (Something like a simple after-image when you focus from one item to another – You sometimes see a momentary overlay of the previous item viewed), look at cartoons for this effect – it is used to indicate vibration, or rapid movement of the character, or even sound – I.E.: this dot will indicate a travelling full stop coming to a halt -> … “.” -A crude example, but over multiple frames reducing the trailing dots will create the movement but with the limitations of typing it will have to do. In animation, this would be duplicated, and the last dot in the line will be more lighter than the image supposedly creating the movement, and so on until there are no dots. In other words, each successive drawing will show a slight movement until the required sequence is completed – Another example
