Much like snow or rain on untreated items, adhesives like stickers or nametags can damage leather. Never try to stick anything to your precious leather or suede pieces. Oil and grease can penetrate leather and suede quickly, and leave a permanent mark if left alone. Try to absorb the spot with a soft cloth. Alternatively, chalk powder applied over the spot will absorb most of the moisture. Otherwise, have the item brought to one of our recommended specialists as soon as possible. 6. HOW SHOULD I STORE MY LEATHER JACKET? The main rule of thumb is never store leather and suede in plastic (the skin needs to breathe and the plastic will dry it out).
