Mooney on Theatre is a website about theatre, edited by Megan Mooney (which you likely already figured out). It includes contributions about specific productions from writers with a variety of levels of experiences with theatre, as well as thoughts from Megan on theatre in general. So, what makes it different than other theatre websites? Well, the aim here is to help people know what to expect from a show, so that maybe they won’t be intimidated by it. People in the theatre industry always seem so shocked when they hear that people are intimidated by theatre, but the truth is, they really are. Bottom line is, we wanted to find a way to make theatre more accessible to people, let people know they don’t have to have theatre training, or be ‘culturally rich’ or any of those other things to enjoy theatre, they just have to go.
