WHAT IS MMA (Methyl Methacrylate)?
Some nail tech’s are using an acrylic named “methyl methacrylate” (MMA). The same sealant used to seal teeth. This makes nails virtually unbreakable and the underlying nail bed to disintegrate. The reason they use MMA is that it can be purchased very cheap, costing as little as $15.00 per gallon, compared to ethyl methacrylate (EMA), a high quality acrylic product.
