What is Mikes Groove?
Unity: “Mike’s Groove” is a shortened title for a combination of three songs — Mike’s Song, I Am Hydrogen, and Weekapaug Groove — played. John Paluska had reported (circa 1992) that these three songs would never be played independently, that Mike’s Groove would always stand alone as Mike’s Groove. Most tapers nonetheless continued to label the three seperately, and for good reason, since things change. Departure: Since John’s assurance, there are many examples when either something was missing (particularly Hydrogen), something else was added (especially Simple), or something was played independantly (especially Mike’s Song).
