What is midi guitar?
Midi Guitar is basically using the guitar to control midi devices. In the past midi was used almost exclusively with a keyboard controller. Today there are several different ways to use the guitar to “trigger” sounds on midi devices such as synthesizers and samplers. The most common is the Hex Pickup based system that uses a 13-pin cable. This is sometimes called a Roland system because they introduced the standard. Another is the Ztar which doesn’t use guitar string but acts more like a guitar shaped keyboard.
