What is Microsoft Software Assurance, Maintenance, Subscription and Insurance?
Microsoft Software Assurance for current versions of Microsoft software entitles you to new versions that are released before July 31, 2008. If you DO NOT purchase Software Assurance when you purchase the current licenses, you will have to purchase a new license to get the next new version if, and when, one is released. Maintenance, Subscription and Insurance all refer to the same thing. Customers who have a license in conjunction with maintenance or insurance, or who purchase a subscription, are entitled to receive upgrades for two years from the date of purchase, unless otherwise noted. • Microsoft Software Assurance expires 7/31/2008. The next expected Software Assurance is 8/1/2008 – 7/31/2011 • Adobe Maintenance expires 2/28/2008. The next renewal period will be from 2/28/2008 – 2/28/2010. • Macromedia Maintenance expires 2/28/2008.
