Documentary Preparation Fee Adjustment for 2009 **Doc fee handout** NEW! The Commissioner of the Office of Financial and Insurance Regulation has reviewed the documentary preparation fee for adjustment and has determined the maximum shall be adjusted to $190.00 to reflect the cumulative percentage in the consumer price index for calendar years 2007 and 2008. From this date forward, the documentary preparation fee shall not exceed 5% of the cash price of the motor vehicle or $190.00, whichever is less.
