What is Metric Paper?
Metric paper or A size paper has almost magical properties. It is has the amazing unique as it is the only rectangle which when folded in half creates a similar rectangle. To find out why this is click here If we start with a sheet of A4 paper we can create a family of similar rectangles from A size paper by folding and cutting in half. Each new rectangle is also an A rectangle; first comes A5, then A6, then A7 and so on. If we put two A4 sheets together we create an A3 rectangle. 4 sheets give us A2, 8 sheets A2 and16 sheets of A4 make an A1 rectangle. And an A0 rectangle has an area of 1 square metre!
