Message Relay Service — also known as 711 — is a service that allows you to talk over the telephone via a teletypewriter. A specialized operator acts as an intermediary for the two parties. Message Relay Service is included with your Shaw home phone service. • Can I get an unlisted number? Yes, you can choose a non-listed or non-published number at no extra charge. Non-listed numbers are not shown in the phone book, but are available through directory assistance (411) inquiries. Non-published numbers are not shown in the phone book and are not available through directory assistance. If you have a non-published number, your name will not show up on the recipient’s call display or caller ID.
