What is meant by “Use Year”?
A point program’s Use Year is the 12 month period in which an owner/member’s points are allocated for use annually. A Use Year has a Use Year Start Date and a Use Year End Date which is generally determined by the month in which an owner/member’s purchase was made, is selected by the owner at time of purchase, or is assigned by the program. When a reservation is made by a member the points used by the member are taken from the Use Year when the vacation use is taken not the Year in which the reservation is made.
