What is meant by the term iosecurity?
Biosecurity is the term used to cover all the actions that may be taken to protect a group of animals (i.e. your herd/flock) from a disease and the spread of that disease to other animals or properties. These actions include simple management practices such as controlling movement of stock or restricting the access of people and vehicles to areas where there are no stock. It also includes practices such as cleaning machinery and equipment (like boots or veterinary equipment) that may carry a disease and keeping feed and water free of contamination.
