What is meant by the “self-fulfilling prophecy?
It’s when you make a statement about how you believe something will work out and make sure it happens that way. For example, you might say “I will have a really bad time at the party tonight” Because you’re mind is set on not enjoying yourself, you’ll go with a negative frame of mind and will make it impossible to have a good time. You therefore fulfil your own prophecy.
