When FRED searches for Faculty Experts identified with a specific Expertise term, it returns a list of Investigators having that term as their Expertise. In addition, FRED also lists the names of Investigators that have an expertise in one or more Child Terms of the specific expertise term. Faculty listed as being a “Faculty Expert of Child Term” are Investigators that have at least one Expertise term that is a Child of the specified Expertise term.
