What is meant by Disablement Benefit?
: When an insured employee is suffering from temporary disablement as a result on an employment injury, he is entitled to receive for the period of such disablement periodical payment called Disablement Benefit. When an insured employee is suffering from permanent disablement, whether total or partial, as a result of an employment injury, he is entitled to receive disablement benefit for the whole of his life. The rate of disablement benefit is determined in accordance with the provisions of Rule 57. There is no condition of payment of any contribution for receiving disablement benefit.
