What is meant by constructive criticism?

0

Criticism is often just a slagging off of what you have said or you have written, for instance, read the film critics of a new film or DVD and they often just write about all of the things that are wrong with differing parts of the production. On the other hand, and some folk will laugh, constructive criticism is where you do the same thing but within the comment offer help and guidance for getting it right next time. A good example, on a good day, is Simon Cowell on say “The X Factor”. This guy for all that people knock him is a total encyclopaedia of the music industry and he knows to within 90% if a person on the show will make it or not. He speaks as he finds but usually offers the reason for his comments and this is “Constructive Criticism”. Hopefully the things that he says will help the individual to make a better job of the song at the next chance.
