Many plans offer a comprehensive version and a more basic plan type often referred to in the industry as “scheduled benefits” or fixed. Comprehensive plans provide much better coverage compared to basic plans. Basic plans are less expensive in up front premium but you must be aware of the internal limitations of the policy “schedule of benefits” as they are limited in what they will cover.
