What is meant by a new and more efficient method of alerting firefighters on the retained duty system?
As technology has improved, there are now more efficient ways of alerting our staff to incidents. This may include the possibility of only alerting those staff that are required to crew a particular vehicle at a multi appliance station. (It was suggested during one of the staff briefings that a ‘message received and responding’ button could be incorporated into this new system).
