What is meant by “a J-Nomad must assess and confirm that an applicant is appropriate for initial listing”?
• The J-Nomad is responsible for assessing and confirming that an applicant is appropriate to join the market. We expect the J-Nomad to establish methods for such assessment based on its own experience and knowledge. This assessment includes an understanding of the company’s business; ensuring adequate due diligence covering legal, technical, financial and other matters concerning the company; and ensuring that the directors of the company understand their responsibilities as the company joins the market. Please refer to the “Declaration on Appropriateness for Listing” which provides a list of items to be considered, as a minimum, when assessing suitability of a company to the market. This is to be submitted by the J-Nomad with the Listing Application. • The Exchange will be available to provide guidance to the J-Nomad as necessary and will give the final approval for listing.
