What is meant by a confirmed TB breakdown within the preceding 3 years?

0

If you have an inconclusive animal in your herd, DARD will check back 3 years to determine whether you had a confirmed TB breakdown in your herd during that time, or one that began before that and ended during that time. If you had, and if the breakdown or part of the breakdown episode occurred within the 3 years preceding the date the inconclusive was detected, this will mean that your herd will be restricted. For example, a herd may have a TB positive post mortem outside the three year period, but the breakdown continued into the 3 year period.
