CASE ID is the uniq identifier of a splicing event. It is composed of a two letter representation of event type and the entrez gene id, which is followed by a few coordinates indicating the location of the event. The coordinates are local, relative to the gene “contig” sequence. CASE ID is designed to be informative for large scale analysis, but will not be stable when the database is updated to new versions in the future.
