What is meaning mp3 and mp4?

Howdy, – MP3 is an encoding format for compressing audio. – MP4 is a multimedia container format, so it can contain video and/or audio. – in the case of MP4 audio, AAC is the compression format used by apple and itunes. AAC is the next version of mp3. Both forms are compressed versions of the original audio, but AAC has improved compression methods so at low bit rates – high compression (e.g. 128kbps) – AAC is much better than MP3. At high bit rates (e.g. 192kbps) AAC may in theory be a little better, but there is no definitive answer and 99.99% of people will not notice the difference between the two formats – MP3 is still the most widely available format, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. hope this helps, good luck! Jim.
