What is MDAC and why is it required by some PQ software?
MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) is a Microsoft database access technology that uses OLEDB database providers to gain access to a variety of databases. CHARTrunner uses MDAC to access many different types of databases in order to fetch data for charting. SQCpack uses MDAC to read and write to the various Access 2000 databases that are used to store SQCpack data.
