What is Matterhorn Core?

0

A. Because Matterhorn is a collection of services based on a service oriented architecture, it technically does not have a “core”. That being said, Matterhorn’s UI, capture agents, and workflows heavily depend on Matterhorn’s full array of services for its “out of the box” lecture capture system. That is why these services are sometimes referred to as “core”. This expression does not mean that Matterhorn must be one run from one central server as a single system. Matterhorn supports a variety of deployments, and institutions may choose to use only some of Matterhorn’s services deployed across multiple servers.
