What is MASSIVEGOOD?
MASSIVEGOOD is the Millennium Foundation’s flagship innovative fundraising project to be launched successively in 2010 in the USA, UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Spain. MASSIVEGOOD aims to be a worldwide movement that gives travelers the option to make a micro-contribution ($2/€2/£2) towards a healthier world every time they buy a plane ticket, reserve a hotel room or rent a car. This unique and long-term sustainable funding solution will help to stop millions of preventable deaths from HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis, potentially raising up to $1 billion in additional funding for global health during its first four years of operation. Thanks to a wide coalition of corporate partners in the travel industry, MASSIVEGOOD will be available at both travel agencies and online ticketing websites. Donations received by MASSIVEGOOD will go to UNITAID, which has achieved remarkable results since its creation in expanding access to life-saving medications in developing countries. UNITA
