Masayume (pronounced Ma-sa-yu-may) means ‘a dream come true’ in Japanese. Founded in 1996 at Vizag, Masayume institute pioneered Distance education in Basic conversational Japanese, realizing the dream of learning Japanese by anyone in this vast country India, where Japanese language institutes are very limited. Till date, several students from all over India have been benefited by studying spoken Japanese from Masayume institute. Masayumefs pioneering efforts towards the propagation of Japanese language have been appreciated by the then Japanese Ambassador. In 1997, Masayume institute has also been the recipient of Japanese teaching material support programme by the Japan Foundation. After a decade, now in 2007, rechristened as Masayume Institute for Global Skills, the institute is launching classroom courses in selected Foreign Languages besides Japanese, and Soft Skills for Personality development and Global employability, in phased manner.
