What is Marine & Coastal Resource Management?
Marine & Coastal Resource Management is the interdisciplinary study of the use, management and development of marine and coastal resources and associated communities and the viability of the industries on which they depend. Marine & Coastal Resource Management (MCRM) is a rapidly expanding and dynamic field of work. The newly-revised degree at Aberdeen considers the management of coastal and marine environments from both a landward and seaward perspective. The seas and oceans and the surrounding coastal areas contain many of the earth’s most valuable resources, such as food, minerals, chemicals and energy.
