Marathon is the first of a series of games developed by Bungie for the Macintosh (Only Marathon 2 was ported to the PC). The sequels are Marathon 2: Durandal, and Marathon: Infinity. Halo’s storyline is supposedly tied into Marathon’s in some way, shape or form. There are also hints at easter eggs in Halo pointing to Marathon.
