What is manual lymph drainage?
MLD (Manual Lymph Drainage), is a very gentle massage using light rhythmic motions to stimulate the lymph and fluid movement in the body. Gentle stretches, applied to the lymph collectors of the body, moving the blocked lymphatic fluids, encouraging lymph drainage. The normal pulse of the lymphatic system is 10-12 beats per minute. MLD increases this flow to 100-120 beats per minute. The increase movement greatly facilitates the speed at which the body can rejuvenate itself. Dr. Emil Vodder, the developer of the Vodder Method of MLD, felt the key to every underling disease was related to the immune system. Through encouraging the gentle moment of the lymphatic fluid, he could have a dramatic effect on his client’s health. Vodder Method of MLD, originating in France, spread throughout the Western Hemisphere. In the 1980’s, Dr. Robert Lerner brought the method to the United States. The Vodder Method continues to be widely used throughout the United States and Europe. What does MLD do for
