Management’s basic job is to supervise the architects and draftsmen, who are designing and drawing plans for the building. Management also speaks with the customer about what they want in the building (specifications and requirements). Recent trends: “going green”. Buildings are being designed with more energy efficiency in everything from power usage to water useage, to waste disposal and recycling. Materials used in the construction are also being considered for using less energy in their manufacturing. .
